Laboratory Manager

Grade 7: £36,024 to £44,263 per annum

This is a unique opportunity to work in the IOI on Biological Research which is principally concerned with the chemical mechanisms of biological processes in organisms ranging from bacteria to humans. You will be responsible for managing the day-to-day laboratory coordination for the IOI Chemistry Team, ensuring effective delivery of research while maintaining effective laboratory space and assets.

Laboratory Technician

Grade 5: £30,259 to £35,466 per annum

Reporting to the Laboratory Manager, you will provide technical and administrative support to ensure the smooth running of the laboratories.  This will include managing scientific processes and maintaining quality control, monitoring results to spot discrepancies and proposing refinements and re-running experiments where necessary. Monitoring deliveries, ordering stock and maintaining and monitoring equipment. You will liaise on a daily basis with the Project Managers and/or Scientific Lead to discuss any anomalies with the sample quality or quantity.

Assistant Laboratory Manager (internal applicants only)

Grade 6: £33,832 to £39,705 per annum

Reporting to the Laboratory Manager, you will proactively maintain stocks, equipment and facilities, health and safety protocols, and creating an effective working environment. You will deputise for the Lab Manager as required and will be responsible for providing support to lab technicians and students; ensuring delivery of research while maintaining effective laboratory space and assets.
