Work & Study

Our mission is to rapidly advance research, education and collaboration in search of solutions to tackle the growing threat of antimicrobial resistance (AMR).

AMR is one of the most serious public health challenges of our time. The burden of AMR is rising rapidly worldwide. Action is urgently needed. Our goal is to make a difference, driving progress in tackling the global problem of AMR. Our aims are to work in the laboratory, in the field, and with the public to:

  • Undertake the science necessary to enable the discovery of new antibiotics, for human and animal use
  • Champion international, collaborative studies that assess the global burden of AMR, to inform more effective ways to prevent and treat drug-resistant critical infections, particularly neonatal sepsis
  • Train future generations of researchers to pursue collaborative scientific discovery in the AMR field
  • Develop wide-reaching engagement initiatives to raise public awareness about AMR, inform policy and promote urgent action to help prevent the growing threat of drug resistant infections.
